What is RACE?

RACE is the abbreviation for rapid amplification of cDNA ends, a technique used to obtain the full length sequence of 3end or 5end of cDNA through mRNA reverse transcription and PCR technique from a known sequence of cDNA.

Comparison of Technical Features

1. Ensure the integrity of RNA template. It is advisable to perform agarose gel electrophoresis to verify RNA integrity prior to the experiment.

3. Nested PCR. When applying nested PCR to design primers, specific sequences and appropriate enzyme cleavage sites are added to the primers both to increase the specific cloning of the target fragment and to facilitate subsequent sequencing and experiments.
