International Women's Day | Gender is never a factor in the outcome of experiments - Dr. Jenny Zheng

The world is yearning for equality and inclusion. Today we celebrate women's achievement and raise awareness about gender bias, stereotypes, and discrimination.

Dr. Jenny Zheng, Director of R&D Center at Vazyme Life Science Division, also as one female scientist of Vazyme R&D team, share her inspiring story to show the power of women in science.

Dr. Zheng has been with the company for three years. She is currently leading her team to focus on the development of library preparation reagents and instruments for Next-Generation Sequencing.

Q: Why did you join Vazyme after you graduated with your PhD?

A: The lab I worked in during my PhD was a long-time user of Vazyme's products. Many of these products, such as high-fidelity polymerase for amplification, library preparation, and cloning series, performed quite well. I was amazed at Vazyme's R&D capabilities and convinced that joining the company would foster my professional and personal growth.

Dr. Jenny Zheng deeply identifies with her work, motivated by the value and significance of her R&D results. Library preparation reagents are widely used in research areas, including etiology, oncology, and reproductive studies, and significantly influence disease diagnosis, treatment, and prevention. Vazyme high-throughput automated liquid handling instrument enable researchers to conduct experiments efficiently and accurately, minimizing human error and time while improving data reliability and repeatability, thereby accelerating research progress. Dr. Jenny Zheng takes pride in supporting scientific advancements across various areas, and together contributing to human health.
